2. Civic Days Fireworks Show in Rollstone Hill

Date: Friday, July 3, 2026, 9:30 PM (rain date is July 5)
Where: Launched from Rollstone Hill; viewable from Downtown Fitchburg, Boulder Drive, and Riverfront Park

The fireworks cap the Block Party evening with an aerial display visible from multiple downtown vantage points. Riverfront Park and the Boulder Drive area give solid sightlines. Rollstone Hill itself is the launch point. The surrounding downtown streets fill in the hours before.

3. Fitchburg Fourth of July Parade  

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: Runs from Summer Street down Main Street to the Upper Common, Downtown Fitchburg

Recognized as the largest Independence Day parade in Central Massachusetts, the 2026 theme is “Celebrating America’s 250th.” There will be marching bands, elaborate floats, fire trucks, and clowns along a downtown route that brings the full community out. The Upper Common is the natural gathering point as the parade concludes. 

4. Leominster Summer Concerts

Date: Tuesday, July 7, 2026
Where: Bisceglia Bandstand in Leominster’s historic Carter Park

The Leominster Colonial Band takes the stage on July 7th to mark America’s 250th birthday with a program dedicated entirely to the country’s greatest composers. The concert spotlights Stephen Foster alongside music from Stevie Wonder, Glenn Miller, Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, and George Gershwin, performed in sweeping medley arrangements. The evening closes the way it has to, with Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”
